Build with AI for Sustainable Growth

StrategEast, in cooperation with Google, is launching a large-scale program called "Build with AI for Sustainable Growth" for the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus.

On June 12, in Bishkek, StrategEast launched a large-scale cross-country project called "Create with Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development" in cooperation with Google. The multi-month program will bring together developers from Central Asia and the Caucasus region to find solutions to sustainable development challenges using artificial intelligence technologies. The best programming teams of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia will present their projects at the final hackathon to be held in Astana in the fall of 2024.

Partnering in the implementation of the Google program, StrategEast, an independent organization for the development of the Eurasian digital economy, cooperates with USAID's entrepreneurship and business environment development project. The initiative will be implemented with the coordination and support of regional governments.

As part of the Build with AI for Sustainable Growth program, Google and StrategEast experts will hold a series of hackathons and workshops for technical professionals using the company's artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools. These tools are based on the most advanced large language model (LLM) - Gemini. The program aims to find solutions to the problems of sustainable development in Central Asia and the Caucasus region.

Supporting the program for Google is part of an effort to train IT industry professionals to use artificial intelligence tools. Thus, since the beginning of 2024, the Google team has already held 27 seminars attended by 900 developers in various countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus.

The final of the "Build with AI for Sustainable Growth" program in the form of a hackathon is planned to be held in Astana in the fall of 2024. Participating teams will present their prototypes or even finished products for continuous development:

● improvement of air and water quality

● environment, health, and quality of life

● soil degradation, desertification, reduction of species diversity, etc.

● management and protection of water resources – protection against depletion

● agriculture and food security.

Applications for participation in the "Build with AI for Sustainable Growth Hackathon" are being accepted until August 15, 2024.
