Astana Venture Club Celebrates First Anniversary
A gala event at the Astana Hub International Technology Park celebrated the first anniversary of the Astana Venture Club, a network of business angels focused on investing in and supporting promising tech entrepreneurs.
The event attracted investors, business leaders, venture capitalists, investment professionals, philanthropists, and members of Kazakhstan's IT community.
A highlight of the event was a panel session titled “Current Trends and Prospects for Venture Capital Investment: The Impact of AI and Criteria for Success,” moderated by BGlobal Ventures CEO Abay Absamet. The panel featured Astana Hub Managing Director Tanat Uskembayev, Raison co-founder and managing partner Andrey Berezin, and business angel Elzhan Kushekbaev. The speakers explored new trends in the IT sector and the vital role of venture funds in scaling startup projects. The Astana Venture Club announced strategic plans to partner with Astana Hub and BGlobal Ventures, aiming to open international markets to Kazakh startups through their collaborative efforts.
Founded in May of the previous year to support innovative projects, the Astana Venture Club has swiftly become a significant contributor to the growth of Kazakhstan's venture ecosystem.
