During her visit to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the Minister of Economy Natia Turnava held meetings with leading investment funds and corporations of the United Arab Emirates. According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, several of the largest investment funds of the UAE showed interest in production in Georgia. As the Ministry reports, as part of her visit, Turnava held meetings with representatives of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Mubadala, Lulu Group International, Dubai Holding, Dubai Investment, Investment Corporation of Dubai, Armada Group and ADIA (Abu Dhabi Investment Authority).
According to Minister Turnava, the meetings revolved around Georgia's investment potential in various sectors. Turnava highlighted the meeting with Dubai Investment Fund, and noted that its representatives expressed interest in investing in Georgia's several sectors.
"It concerns industrial parks, they have great experience and desire to expand their production in Georgia in the pharmaceutical field, building materials and electrical equipment. There are also many other areas, which will be further identified as a result of joint work", - said Natia Turnava.
According to the Ministry of Economy, Turnava also pointed out that an agreement has been reached with several major investment funds of the United Arab Emirates and visits of their consultants and delegations to Georgia are planned, during which they will get acquainted with the country's investment opportunities.
