SoftServe's free database: useful knowledge for a young IT specialist

14 November, 2022

SoftServe is a large international IT company established in Ukraine. It is engaged in software development and provides consulting services. Today the company employs about 13 thousand people from around the world.

To better prepare young professionals who dream of working at SoftServe, the company established the IT Academy that includes paid and free courses and internship programs as well as a free knowledge library.

Even if you don't have a goal to get into this company, the knowledge gained in the educational modules of their academy can be applied to your own project as well.

So, let's find out more about the most accessible resource – the IT library!

What can you find out  in the library?

— Materials on IT English. They include a selection of YouTube video tutorials, corporate presentations with tips on how to communicate effectively in business, and IT vocabulary. A quiz at the end.

— materials on learning programming languages: C++, Java, Python, etc. It is worth noting that all these courses are well structured, which simplifies the process of self-study.

— a selection of useful articles, tutorials and courses to improve the soft skills a starter needs to network, find partners and promote their product both online and offline.

How to get access?

To take advantage of the free opportunities, of which there are plenty, you need to register with the IT Academy system. After studying the modules or when you are ready you can take a test in one of the areas once a month.

If the test result is positive, it can be recorded in your personal profile as confirmation of your qualifications. The more confirmed skills a student has, the better the chances of completing an internship programme and even getting a first offer from the company.

We also recently told you that SoftServe is running a three-day intensive (November 29 - December 1) on product development: MPV creation, hypothesis testing and promotion. Participation is for donations to the charity. Apply here.
