Avlo.shop is a startup from Uzbekistan, which is a web constructor for creating online shops. Its founders aim to develop e-commerce in Uzbekistan and in the region.

237 startups from Central Asia, Mongolia and Azerbaijan applied to Silkway Accelerator. Avlo.shop was the only startup from Uzbekistan. Iskander Kurbanov, the project's founder, travelled to Astana.

Other Avlo.shop team members are taking part in other programmes at the same time. For example, project co-founder Sevara Dultayeva is now attending an Uzbekistan Business Leaders programme in the US, run by the American Council for International Education in Uzbekistan.

"A couple of months ago I accidentally saw an advertisement for this programme on social media. I tried it out, applied and was one of ten winners out of 337 applicants. We have already had an exciting workshop in Washington, DC, which started this journey, then went to Austin to go to Silicon Valley to TechRanch," says Sevara.

Last year, avlo.shop won the Entrepreneurship World Championship 2021 for the region, one of the biggest startup pitching competitions, placing in the top 100,000 out of 100,000 globally. The startup received a valuation of $2 million based on expert evaluations.
