Fin.KG has won a trip to Morocco to the finals of the international acceleration programme A-Hub, where they will present their projects to investors and compete for the main prize – $20 000. In addition to them, the finalists became two other projects from Kyrzystan – Til zone and Dofphotos.
Startup FIN is a participant of Startup KPIs Day 2022 from Kyrgyzstan. It is a marketplace for financial services. The idea of their new project is an API solution, which allows end users to buy different kinds of products and services with interest-free installments without going to the bank's website itself. The platform also invites users to participate in compiling popular and professional rankings.
The acceleration programme received 86 applications from all over Kyrgyzstan, of which 15 IT projects were selected for the programme. During the acceleration period, participants had to advance to a new level, discover, increase their creative, technological and cultural potential, improve business process indicators, as well as prove the demand, sustainability of their products. With this, they were helped by coaches and personal trackers in workshops and traction sessions throughout the month.
In the final, 11 teams pitched in front of a national selection jury, which consisted of experienced start-ups and representatives of business accelerators. As a result of the teams' performances, 3 startups were given the opportunity to travel to Morocco and present their projects at the grand final in November 2022.
"During the programme, the most useful thing was to get feedback from the trackers and confirm our hypothesis that we are moving in the right direction. There is a prize fund of around $20 000 in the final programme. But we rather prioritize networking in the Middle and Far East, as well as Islamic markets", – co-founder Saikal Alymova tells SCE.
The organizers of the accelerator programme were the Islamic Education, Science and Culture Foundation ICESCO, the MOST Business Incubator, Kazakhstan and the business accelerator DevCIT, Kyrgyzstan. The partner was the Innovation Centre of Kyrgyzpatent.
