Startup of the day: Bookshifa

16 August, 2022

Baku Investment Day, a startup and innovation event, took place in Baku in July. The event was organised by the SABAH.lab Acceleration Centre, a partner of Startup Capital Eurasia.  Six startups made it to the finals of Baku ID in Azerbaijan, including startup Bookshifa.

Bookshifa is software created to automate and simplify interaction between doctors and patients.

Its founders, Kamran Hajili, Allahverdi Aliyev and Ali Gafarov, see the following problem in the medical field. Even though doctors work in a hospital, they are effectively independent practitioners in developing countries: they own a micro-business, but they have little time to manage operations. The startup offers special software to manage the treatment and rehabilitation process of patients: for example, doctors can schedule appointments, take into account their health status when communicating with them afterwards.

"We have not received any investment yet, but we are currently speaking with investors and holding follow-up meetings. We are also negotiating a merger option with one company. We were accepted for the V4 Azerbaijan Tech Bridge program by the Startup Hub Poland Foundation. We progressed through the program and were selected as one of the top ten teams to present our idea on the program's demo day", co-founder Ali Gafarov shared with SCE platform.

The startup is now looking for a social media marketing intern. The future team member will have to develop a strategy to achieve the marketing goals.
