Yerevan Tech Forum 

Yerevan Tech Forum will take place on the 21st of May, 2022, and will bring together companies and professionals in the tech sphere, creative industry & HR.

The purpose of the forum is to provide participants with a platform to come together and discuss threats & opportunities of the industry in a rapidly changing world.

Yerevan Tech Forum aims to allow experts, experienced entrepreneurs, and professionals to share their vision on threats, opportunities, and the development of anti-crisis plans in conditions of total uncertainty.

The key topics for Yerevan Tech Forum 2022 include “Future of startup ecosystem & investments” and “Reshaping business in a transition period”.

UNDP movement “Digital X”

Are you from a UN organization, NGO, social enterprise, or university with a ready-to-scale digital solution? Apply today to join our Digital X Solutions Catalogue.

Digital X is a Partnerships for Scale Programme developed by UNDP Chief Digital Office to find, match, and scale proven and innovative digital solutions around the world. Participation in the programme will help gather a team, establish a dialogue with the governments in the 170 countries where UNDP works, and obtain funding to implement the idea.

Challenges: climate and energy solutions, reducing poverty and inclusive growth, health, women in the digital economy, education etc 

Funding: up to $100,000 per country team

Registration is available until 31 May.



Discussion with Zubi Onwuta on why startups should develop inclusive and innovative products and services

A meeting will be held on 18 May with the founder of a startup studio that supports innovation for people with disabilities. Zuby will be speaking on the state of inclusion in the tech industry today and the advancements that have been made by the disability movement. You will hear how startups can build inclusion into hiring, company culture, and product development cycles.

You'll get to hear Zuby's incredible personal journey with a disability, and the inspiring story of becoming a founder and entrepreneur in residence at Verizon for disability-focused products (as well as an astronaut-in-training!)

Webinar "Acronis: from backup to information security"

On May 25, a master class from CLOUD24 will be devoted to protection against attacks from encryption viruses. The speakers will show how to secure your business against WannaCry, Petya and various malware, as well as why Acronis users can be confident about protecting themselves against future threats.

CLOUD24 is a cloud provider of SaaS and IaaS services in Kazakhstan.

Global Innovation Forum  2022 “Life-Altering Technologies” 

On 5-6 October 2022, Yerevan will host the Global Innovation Forum “Life-Altering Technologies” which will be focused on how Artificial Intelligence impacts human life on Earth.

The forum will be organised by Fast Foundation Incubator, which helps scientists and innovators from Armenia succeed on the global stage. It collaborates with academic, governmental and non-governmental organisations and is interested in the development of IT, AI, biotechnology, robotics and other high-tech fields.

The 2018 and 2019 forum attracted around 1,400 participants and 170 distinguished scientists, innovators and executives from 23 countries from technology giants such as Google DeepMind, Google Brain, Facebook AI, Microsoft and Flagship Pioneering. The forum brings together experts from leading academic institutions such as Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University.
