1. Digital fashion creators from Ukraine are finalists for the Louis Vuitton award

Ukrainian startup DressX has been shortlisted for the LVMH Innovation Award 2022 to be held in June in Paris. The startup is engaged in the creation of a digital wardrobe. The idea is that now you can wear clothes of fashion brands not only in real life, but also in augmented reality.  

2. Paymes, a startup project developed in Azerbaijan, is teaming up with PayTabs, an Arab company, to enter the MENA region

The companies provide e-commerce services to millions of entrepreneurs in these regions. "Paymes' collaboration with PayTabs, which can compete with global financial institutions around the world, enhances the payment technology and capabilities of the Azerbaijani startup," said Paymes business development manager Tariel Aghazadeh.  

3. IT Park to organize hackathon with prize fund of 100 mln soums

To participate you have to assemble a team of 3 to 5 people and develop MVP for your IT solution within 72 hours.  Hackathon is organized for all comers aged 16 to 20 years and will be held from June 3 to 5 at Cambridge International University. Entries are accepted until 31 May.  

4. Uzbekistan to open technical centre of global innovation platform Plug and Play by the and of 2022

The initial stage of cooperation includes such directions as financial, insurance and corporate technologies. The cooperation with Plug and Play will help start-ups to enter the international market, as they will be able to access a global network of more than 40 locations around the world.  

5. Startup Genome has released a report on startup ecosystems specializing in agricultural technology

According to the study, the top five agtech & new food ecosystems are Silicon Valley, New York, London, Tel Aviv-Jerusalem and Denver-Boulder. The Global Startup Ecosystem Report includes data on more than 3 million startups and 280 startup ecosystems.
